Gerald "Jerry" Kalb
Korean War - Serving in Germany
Jerry Kalb served in the Korean War from 1952 - 1954. As part of the "Bloody 1," his duties included maintaining and driving the General, protecting a German border and serving as a Mess Hall cook. He shared a story shortly before he died about stepping on a landmine in the middle of the forest and not knowing if his life was over or not. Fortunately, it didn't detonate and his children today wanted to honor him and thank him for his service. We are so proud of you Dad!
